Predicting the critical drawdown pressure of sanding onset for perforated wells in ultra‐deep reservoirs with high temperature and high pressure

Perforated wells in ultra-deep sandstone reservoirs are characterized by high reservoir temperature, formation pressure, and production, sand production will cause severe safety hazards to these wells. Based on Drucker-Prager (DP) rock failure criterion, a practical analytical model for predicting critical drawdown pressure (CDP) of sanding onset perforated is established comprehensively considering the influence drag stress, water depletion, temperature difference wellbore. The proposed verified field monitoring data. calculation results show that CDP changes with well inclination, it decreases increase wellbore difference, saturation. However, increases number perforations ratio diameter length. optimization perforation parameters has an important control. This study can effectively guide prediction provides basis efficient safe development similar yield reservoirs.
